How Summon Range Matching Works
Elden Ring uses your Rune Level (RL) and weapon upgrade level to determine who you can match with online. Co-op (gold summon signs), invasions, and duels each have separate range formulas. Weapon level matching uses the highest upgraded weapon in your inventory — even stored weapons count.
Co-op: RL ± (10 + 10% of RL) Invasion: −10% RL, +20 + 10% RL Duelist: RL ± (5 + 10% of RL)
Co-op & PvP Meta Levels
| Activity | RL | Weapon | Co-op Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early co-op | 30 | +3 | 17–43 |
| Liurnia / Raya Lucaria | 50 | +8 | 35–65 |
| Leyndell / Altus | 80 | +15 | 62–98 |
| Endgame co-op | 125 | +25 | 103–147 |
| PvP meta (duels) | 125 | +25 | 103–147 |
| PvP meta (invasions) | 137 | +25 | 123–170 |
Somber weapons multiply by 2.5×. A Somber +10 equals Regular +25. See our Rune Level Calculator to plan your level.
